Essentially, it's a free creature. This would be very nice in a Stasis deck. Very nice.

This card is so cool! you can cycle it or you can pay it and then untap your lands. im suprised more mono blue control decks don't use this card as a win condition... because you play it and then you still have enough mana to counter on the next turn, and you just slowly hack away at their life with the faeries

Surprised no one uses this in blue counter decks? How about Fish decks?

By far one of my most favourite cards. I love cards that let you untap your lands, making them essentially 'free'.

An amazing card, and is a staple in my tribal faerie deck. Works excellently alongside Pack Hunt Buy.

This card is ridiculous, its not just 2 lands you untap but any 2 lands... like tolarian or geae's cradle or any other mass mana producer. This card has many much potential....

Cloud of Faeries, Snap it back to your hand, Cloud of Faeries again, that's six untaps. Now imagine if you had Tolarian Academy, Deserted Temple, and just 5 artifacts in play (very easy with Mirrodin artifact lands and Ravinica signets) You're gaining 7 mana per cycle for a total of 29 floating, exponentially mroe the more artifacts you have. *cough*Fireball*cough*

Artwork definitely takes a hit though...

Yeah, it's good, but not so good as people seem to think. The fact that it untaps the lands used to cast it means you still spent a card in hand for a 1/1. You got a dork, gratz. It means something if you can do something with it, but a 1/1 flyer just isn't that useful without something else to back it up. Unless you have some neat combo you are better off cycling it.

In legacy Fish doesn't want it because it's not a merfolk, and it's not a strong enough creature to warrant inclusion, you could run a better card instead (were it a merfolk and not a faerie, we would have something to talk about). Control deck don't want it because it't not an effective clock. and no other deck really needs what this card is offering, and it doesn't have any archetype to support it. Palinchron is big enough to matter, great whale is even theoretically good enough (in practice less so), and even the counterspell is cool in casual decks, because all of these effects are big enough to matter, meaning that you did something meaningful while leaving mana open. Even a casual faerie deck has more useful two drops. Oona's prowler is worth not untapping the lands for. Spellstutter sprite has flash, and is a counterspell (thus being better, if harder to use kind of free). And surveilling sprite replaces itself when it dies (thus is a free card).

This sounds a bit overly negative, it is a cute card with some serious usage if you build for it, but it's highly overrated for general usage. The bouncelands of ravnica add some awesome usefulness to this card, being a common it can play with. and this card goes really nicely into pauper decks right alongside it. Just don't get sucked in thinking that free is free, this still costs you a card.
