I love this card it has to be one of the best commons in this set for my deck style holds its own and a worthwhile sacrafice.

It's a really solid addition to any White/Green beatdown deck, at last for a budget/Multiplayer/Casual deck. The only thing I regreat it's the type of creature, It would had been better another Hound, since hey horses have better resistance than wolves.

Comparable to Bottle Gnomes Buy which is a popular uncommon. No sack built into the card but a 3/1 has more tactical value. I give this common the "soulscour seal of approval".

horses... resistance? horses lie down and die at the first hint of exhaustion! Look at what happened in Stalingrad: all the horses died in the first weeks of the encirclement (no, not butchered, they lied down and died) the Germans fought on for months without resources (after they ran out of horsemeat) horses are weak and feeble just break one of their legs and see what happens. (you get glue) So good card, run into your opponent's creature, die (and hopefully take his blocker along) and get some life out it...

Um...you guys with the horses, hounds and wolves (oh my!) debate are rather ignorant. Who cares about the type, this card is amazing and extremely solid on all aspects, and is highly representative of what a magic card (common at that!) can be. Anything with life gain attached with something else (Lightning Helix Buy) is awesome in my book.
