Quite possibly the best artifact-destruction spell ever created. Imagine slapping down a Mycosynth Lattice Buy right before playing this thing.

Yes. This is the best artifact destruction card ever. With control and efficiency it easily beats Shatterstorm Buy in playability. Its very nice to see an artifact hoser like this to finalize mirrodin block out of memory and to prepare for future blocks. If it were an instant it would have been too good.

Yeah, most probably the best artifact destruction card (for red). I just discovered Goblin Vandal Buy, and have seen that it too is fantastic artifact destruction.

This card rules artifact destruction. It isn't broken because its merely and artifact hoser, but its really nice for crippling Affinity and a couple of Jittes. Even just destroying one artifact makes it more of a deal than Shatter Buy.

In post Mirrodin T2, which this obviously is, it has basically no use. Shatter is strictly better. This card's main target will be Jitte hands down until Time Spiral comes out. Shattering Spree only acts as a sorcery, allowing one turn of Jitte counters for your opponent. Shatter can destroy it right away. That one fact makes it less useful in T2.

the main purpose of the card is the replicate ability. it can get it through a counter heavey deck and destroy either a jitte or whatever artifact that they are playing. i pulled this out on a owling mine deck and took 4 howling mines out after he countered seven copies of this card.

There is simply no justification for this card, except to screw affinity. Wizards should lay off the overpowerd nonsense where the only way to get rid of a ridiculous stragety seems to make another overpowered stragety or card. Meanwhile, other strageties suffer unintended flack. In this case, just about any deck that uses a few artifacts gets screwed, and regardless of countermagic.

This card is used in my rifter deck against two things only and that is sword of fire and ice/ jitte.The two decks that run those in my meta are white weenie and fish. Fish esspecialy gives me a problem with the sword because i can't kill the mo-fo, and they can counter wrath then they get a guy and equip.Then im hossed!

I would like to make anohter comment that it is also another target for meddling mage in both cases, it gives them another card they cant counter only mage/ stiffle.And one last thing when it resoves it lets me play half of my deck again!!

Terrible card. Just Terrible. Its obviously extremely powerful and designed to deal with the overpowered affinity, which in a tournament scene I imagine it does a great job. Destroys casual play based around artifacts.
