This combo requires *!7!* cards! SEVEN! Plus a win condition... So it's 8 cards and you win... I can win with 4 - Channeler+Pemmin's+Any Elf+X spell... Not very original either, just using Faces of the Past Buy instead of Intruder Alarm Buy...

Just for the sake of keeping the good rating I will not rate it... 2/1/2 for me...

Many combos involving Lords like that one require many cards, and yet they are easy to achieve. Remember that this will be used most likely in a Zombie deck, perhaps a Black/Blue deck. It will be easy to get 5 zombies. Voice of the Woods Buy + Intruder Alarm Buy essentially takes 6 cards (the voice + 4 other elves, the voice itself is an elf remember, plus the alarm), and yet it's extremely powerful, since elf decks always have tons of elves and access to blue mana. Meanwhile, Quicksilver Dagger Buy + Mind Over Matter Buy only takes 2 cards for an instant win, and yet both cards are very costly, spread over two strangely mixed colors, and both cards do little alone and are rarely both incorperated into the same deck.

Also, it only takes 7 cards, not 8. The Gravespawn, 4 other zombies (the gravespawn is a zombie itself) (which is 5), the altar (which is 6), and a creature in a graveyard. Remember the altar itself is the win condition, since it mills the opponent's library away instantly. I think you got Altar of Dementia Buy confused with Phyrexian Altar Buy.

In addition, although you say you can automatically win with a channeler, pemmin's aura, an elf, and an X spell, that can't be used in zombie decks, that requires 3 different colors, and those cards are rarely put into a deck besides to be used as a combo. Meanwhile, faces of the past is quite often put into zombie decks, the altar is easy to fit in, and obviously the deck will have the gravespawn and a bunch of other zombies, you need not worry about those. Plus, if you're looking for an easy combo with a few cards, then why not just do Illusions of Grandeur Buy and Donate Buy? We're looking for original combos, not just efficient ones that you'd rather use. Don't rate a combo bad because you have a better one, 'cause yours isn't the best either (and it certainly isn't original).

The creator said that it's Gravespawn Sovereign Buy and FIVE other zombies + [/card]faces of the past[/card] + Altar of Dementia Buy

Back to 1st grade: 1(lord)+5(zombies)+1(faces)+1(win condition)=8 right? Not 7, 8... Yes? Great, 100% for you.

You say Quicksilver Dagger Buy and Mind Over Matter Buy are strangely mixed? That's Black/Blue as well, and can be used in a pinger deck...

Just saying you need WAY too many cards to win...
Pemmin's + Channeler is 2 colors not 3,

This is a fairly good combo.

This type of deck could also run Rotlung Reanimators and Nantuko Husk Buy because with more than 1 Reanimator and a Sovereign you can make tons of zombies and with 4 Reanimators, you can have infinite zombies. Good lukc finding all 4 though.

Gerrard, back to 1st grade, but let's peak into an english class. The lord is a zombie. So it's 7. Smart guy.

Hehehehe.

It's called a typo, assuming you know what that means. It only requires 4 other zombies, you follow what can be done, not what is said to have been done. It only requires 7 cards, but you can add in an 8th if you really want to.

You say Quicksilver Dagger and Mind Over Matter are strangely mixed? That's Black/Blue as well, and can be used in a pinger deck...

Um, Quicksilver Dagger Buy is Red and blue. Plus, pinger decks don't always have large amounts of mana, a Mind Over Matter Buy wouldn't be too easy to get into play. Also, it would be difficult to get so much blue mana if the deck was red and blue, while this combo only requires a little bit of black and blue, 2 swamps and an island plus whatever other mana needed is fine. My point was that all the cards in this combo are easily incorperated into a zombie deck, since each one of them would be included even if the rest aren't. Not many decks include Quicksilver Dagger Buy or Mind Over Matter Buy without a specific combo in mind.

Just saying you need WAY too many cards to win...
Pemmin's + Channeler is 2 colors not 3,

Name a green or blue X spell that can win the game, by itself, with enough generated mana. That is what you said, is it not? There are only 2 Blue/Green spells that win the game for you if you give them enough mana, and those are Braingeyser Buy and Stroke of Genius Buy. If you want to go make a 2 color combo with those, then be my guest, but this combo works, is original, is efficient, can be used in a number of decks that aren't built around it, and has overall purpose. Of course there are better combos out there, there always are. But as long as this combo fulfills those criterias, then it should be rated well. Don't compare combos just because one is better than another, 'cause I guarantee I can always find a better combo. Leave it at that.

Typo? Quote - "Have Gravespawn Sovereign and 5 other zombies in play along an altar of dementia and a faces of the past. Sacrifice a zombie with the altar. Untap all zombies. Bring it back with Gravespawn Sovereign and repeat." That's one big-azz typo.

Dagger is red? Right... My bad

Altar in a Zombie deck? Aha, yeah... Also Sovereign needs 6 mana...

Is the combo "efficient"? 8 cards to win? Not TOO efficient...

Is the combo original? Just another Intruder Alarm combo...

It works well but the guy could play the zombie lord with some Rotlung Reanimators to make more zombies and then play Gempalm Polluter when he has at least 2 black mana to spare.

Actually, no that's correct. That statement is right. Soveriegn and 5 other zombies in play. Sacrifice one to the Altar. After they get milled, Faces trigger is put on the stack, respond by tapping the leftover 5 zombies, bringing the sacked one back. Faces trigger resolves, untaps your zombies. Rinse and repeat. That's the way it works. An alternate method is with the extra zombie in the 'yard instead of play.

Dagger is red? Right... My bad

What other color would a 2 color ping enchantment be?

Is the combo "efficient"? 8 cards to win? Not TOO efficient...

You're right; it isn't efficient. The thing is, it's a win condition in a deck that could easily run all of this anyway, besides the combo.

Is the combo original? Just another Intruder Alarm combo...

Not really. Faces works well with zombies due to all the tricks. Intruder Alarm is comes into play, not goes to graveyard from play. This is expanding upon the already established zombie theme to make an auto-win. Nothing wrong with that.

Like I said before, it's a fairly good combo. It's not superb, but it's nothing to sneeze at.

Adding a late game auto win to an already established deck type is not bad, and with all the graveyard tricks (and potential draw by including blue, although not likely) it's very easy to get 5 random zombies into play.

you know you can play other zombies while you're waiting to play the sovereign, right? you don't have to drop every piece of a combo on one turn. also, it is 7 cards, you can return a zombie first then sac it.
