I would replce the Devouring Lights with Last Gasp Buys. The wraths and mortifies can handle the fatties and last gasp will improve curve and can be used a turn earlier than the Devouring Lights. please rate http://essentialmagic.com/Decks/View.asp?ID=455273

pretty cool deck. if your looking to make changes, i would consider this:
-4 devouring light (move to SB, trade for chastice)
+1 wrath of god
+3 last gasp

that may actually speed up your creature kills. and trading out chastice for devouring light in the SB may prove to be better. the lights are killers against dredge decks. great idea though.

i like this idea but what do you do when they kill your dreams. just dont black a black deck cranial. mybe defensive grid would work in this deck sense you have no crtures so you can play mostry instistns. i would play fethers 2 the best white control card in right now i think. plz rate my green red deck

This is interesting. I would run 1 more gift of the estates and 1 less top because it thins the deck to get to the cards accually needed. The only other problem I see is against something running artifact and enchantment destruction main board. Pls rate my BUGW control pls.

for the Gift of Estates Buy you could run a few basilica's to keep the land count down without having to hold back drops. Just a thought.

This is a really great deck, and I love the fact that it's creatureless. The only things that give me pause are {1} I feel you probably need about two more lands and {2} I think your basic lands need to be roughly 70% Plains and 30% Swamp in order to run most smoothly. Consider dropping 1 Mortify and 1 Wrath of God and dividing your land to look like this:

4 Godless Shrine
4 Caves of Koilos
11 Plains
5 Swamp

While this deck is good it has some weaknesses. Namely only one win condition. Against B/W you need to worry aabout cranial and mortify. Against any blue deck counters are going to be a problem (and you will U). And green will naturalize. I think you need another win condition to be tournament vialble. I think ebony owl netusko (or however it is spelled) is a good choice. Besides that the deck looks strong. Good control elemnets. Aggro will hate this. And ivory mask is great against combo out of the board. I just worry about other control decks.

Please help me with my UG/w fatty control deck.

I'm not trying to be harsh, but you are going to have major problems against a lot of the current top-tier tournament decks out there. The deck is way too slow...there are a lot of top decks that run a lot of control, and by turn 3 when you can start playing most of your cards, they are already going to have the board on lockdown.

An issue you might have is you have no way to deal with artifacts and only 4 enchantment killers, which you might be forced to burn on creatures early on.

As far as your sideboard, I do not understand why you would have 4 Priviledged Positions and 3 Ivory Masks....seems redundant and the Priviledged Positions cost 2 mana more than the Ivory Masks. There's not much of a point to the Sacred Grounds, since in most tournaments you won't hit any land destruction decks.

one thing i notice is that you have no creatures and most all of your spells cost 3 or more, making you completely vulnerable until turn three
id advise adding just a few little guys for defense(maybe like Goldenglow Moth for lifegain) or maybe some mana acceleration like dark ritual
