it`s funny, i almost turned my oldschool burn counter deck into this very similar thing. good job, it`s a very nice deck. i have no real suggestions for you, you seem to cover all bases, just wanted to leave a comment and rate that`s all.

Great deck, I only write down some card for consideration:

Instead of Jace's Ingenuity Buy consider Browbeat Buy or Rhystic Study Buy.

Swerve Buy can be a good choice in this color combination. It's highly underestimated card.

Please R8 some of my decks, especially {U}{B} Reanimation Forever

This is a rather controlling, slow deck. Opponents can easily wait 1 extra mana for rhystic study. Paying 5 life for browbeat isn't a problem either, since they're not on a quick clock.

Swerve is an interesting card, though I personally prefer the consistency of a counterspell..

I would look into adding Curiosity Buy for extra card drawings. Also, Goblin Sharpshooter Buy equipped with a Basilisk Collar Buy will wipe out all you opponent's creatures in one fell swoop.

I run a similar deck that also has the Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind Buy and Curiosity Buy combo as an alternate win condition.

I would suggest adding a Heavy Arbalest/Viridian Longbow/Quicksilver Dagger and Soliton/Horseshoe Crab in there since with a little extra mana you'll make yourself a deadly machinegun instead of just snipers. And you can't use the Orcish Artillery IF you happen to have 3 or less life left. I believe the Lifelink ability resolves after the damage has been dealt. Correct me if I'm wrong, please. Nice idea for a deck though.

ps. Why the Shinka, The Bloodsoaked Keep?

@Stork
I don't usually ping players, so I would play curiosities for the Niv-Mizzet combo. However I don't really want to play a 2-card combo when a single Titan also wins me the game at that point 95% of the time. I thought about Sharpshooter/Gelectrode instead of Artilleries, but that would make my deck very vulnerable to Pyroclasm. Also, I usually don't really need to machine-gun. It's a trade-off Happy Good suggestions though, thanks.

@Shroomy
Lifelink doesn't use the stack (it used to but that was changed with M10 rules, just like deathtouch), so there is no usage restriction with a Collared Artillery.

pretty nice. Standstill Buy might be a good addition. i'm personally a fan of the Curiosity Buy suggestion but if that's not for you then i'm not gonna push it. I'd also add Sigil of Sleep Buy for extra creature control.

Very cool deck idea, I have never seen anyone find a use for Orcish Artillery, so you get lots of creativity points in that regard.

I think this would be fun to play in multiplayer, check out some of the cards from the new Commander sets. There are some really beefy red creatures that may add some muscle to your deck.
