The Power 5 Lock Down (you r8 Ill r8),
How it Works
Update! Now equipted with Force of Will Buy
I was looking for ways to remove graveyards from the game and at first I was going to use a couple of Tormod's Crypt Buy, but decided to go the way of the land and use and in combination with Web of Inertia Buy, the land card Bojuka Bog Buy in hope that it will run a little faster. The crype is nice with mana cost but you have to activate it once in play, giving my opponents the ability to counter and destroy my artifact. The land bog in my opinion, is a lot better, it activates as soon as it comes into play and provides black mana. So in 10 years of playing, I have don't think there has ever come across a counter for a land card if there is one that exists, so no guff about this :P....
I been working on this new deck for a while now, and have close to completion. I have wanted to make a creature less deck for a while and chose the best two colors I could find
HA! you can get killed by creatures, spells, artifacts, and even lands, but how original can you get when you kill someone with nothing but enchantments???
The power 5: Underworld Dreams Buy, Planar Void Buy, Web of Inertia Buy, Arcane Laboratory Buy, Forced Fruition Buy: Lock down!
The idea of this deck runs around the use of Underworld Dreams Buy . The idea was to make all opponents draw as many cards as possible, and to help along the way, I added the costly Forced Fruition Buy, and force my opponents to draw their cards while having the protection of Arcane Laboratory Buy and a butt load of counterspells, like Undermine Buy to kick em where it counts
Cards I chose for the deck:
Arcane Laboratory Buy - To reduce my opponents to only one spell a turn, just in case there are a few vintage decks out there that I play against
Extirpate Buy - A very good way to make someone really hate you while playing this game
Planar Void Buy - As the music group N'sync would say "bye bye bye", to all those lovely graveyards that we all so love to death
Lat-Nam's Legacy (2) Buy - Not the best card to choose for drawing cards, but we will take what we can get
Undermine Buy - My all time fav. Counter spell, a little hit to face, then a kick in the teeth
Web of Inertia Buy - Force those bad boys to remove cards in their graveyards to attack, not a very nice card combo with Planar Void Buy
Forced Fruition Buy - A bit costly, but what better way to abuse the ability of Underworld Dreams Buy
Underworld Dreams Buy - in my own defense, I find this card humorous and nasty at the same time. With Forced Fruition Buy at it side, humorous!
Cards I am thinking of using in the future:
Teferi's Puzzle Box Buy - to add insult to injury
Barter in Blood Buy - ya never know when ya need to swat to birds with one stone
Damnation Buy - For those players who find it enjoyable to attempt an army or a horde.....Buzzzz.....wrong choice
Duress Buy - for the quick and relentless picking and choosing of a handled card
Force of Will Buy - once I receive the two more, im seriously thinking bout using this card
Distress Buy - and yet one more reason to make this deck a very hateful deck
Im thinking about replacing Lat-Nam's Legacy (2) Buy with Impulse Buy, just to have the ability to draw and choose the one I like rather then
Changed out Counterspell Buy and replaced it with the mighty mighty Force of Will Buy
changed out the Lat-Nam's Legacy (2) Buy for Impulse Buy for a quick and easy card draw
Changed the Mana Leak Buy for Arcane Denial Buy: this is only a test to force opponents to draw cards with the use of Underworld Dreams Buy
Decided to try the Diabolic Tutor Buy instead of the restricted Demonic Tutor Buy since their legal in hopes to try for a faster card retrieval
I tried out the Diabolic Tutor Buy and there just way to costly, so Ill go the next step and switch out them for Demonic Tutor Buy, and Ill even throw in a Vampiric Tutor Buy for laugh, but Im sure I really wanna keep it in my deck, any suggestions would be very helpful....
