What's a Sideboard?

How it Works

This is an old school Zoo (AKA Kird Ape AKA the San Diego Zoo) deck, built for Standard format according to 1994 rules.

The block then consisted of the core set of Unlimited Edition as well as the expansions Arabian Nights, Antiquities, and Legends (requiring at least one card from each set).

One of the earlier deck strategies built around a mana curve, this creature-based deck proved to be very versatile. The creatures proved to be the muscle, and were complemented well by the use of burn in Lightning Bolt to clear the way, or Giant Growths that could alternatively save creatures or boost them for extra combat damage. Also, an underpinning Channel-Ball combo strategy often led the deck to victory.

This is a reference deck.
