The Blight UR8/IR8,
How it Works
Im kinda excited... Radkos should help this deck tons
Anyway on to the purpose
This is a gravepact deck that works without gravepact
its a tad slow, namely 4th turn click
Grave Pact Buy - Heart and soul of the deck, obvious what it does.
Bile Urchin Buy, Nantuko Husk Buy - Fodder for Grave Pact Buy.
Golgari Thug Buy - Fodder for Grave Pact Buy, doubles as a digger.
Nekrataal Buy - Point removal... pretty standard really.
Necroplasm Buy - Sweet removal for wheenies, and more importantly tokens.
Mortivore Buy - Morty.... he's the finisher.
Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni Buy - She's just amazing, kill all my creature, then take yours.
Dimir House Guard Buy - Fear beatstick, vessel for Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni Buy and he also searches for all my 4 mana cards... kinda useful.
Hell's Caretaker Buy - I played with him a few, liked what he brought to the table... works really well with Nekrataal Buy.
Hand of Cruelty Buy - Token badass.
Umezawa's Jitte Buy - Too useful.
Miren, the Moaning Well Buy - Uncounterable sacrificing ability, and life gain... helps in tight situations.
Off to that of which requires note:
Miren, the Moaning Well Buy + Nantuko Husk Buy = trade lots of creatures for life.
Hell's Caretaker Buy + Nekrataal Buy = lots of point removal
The deck usually gets out its fodder turns 1-3, with the expection of a Grave Pact Buy search, compliments of Dimir House Guard Buy. Usually a mix of Bile Urchin Buy, Golgari Thug Buy, and Nantuko Husk Buy. In comes a Grave Pact Buy, out go the creatures. I will usually drop one of the big swingers shortly thereafter.
Hypnotic Specter Buy - again, people dont see it coming with this deck.
Royal Assassin Buy - Reusable point removal in case something turns out to be a nuisance.
Foul Imp Buy - Solid airborn attacker, for 2 life...
Cranial Extraction Buy - Self explanitory, usually will get the Dimir House Guard Buy to search for it.
Pithing Needle Buy - If by chance I draw it.... doubtful... usually name that nuiscance..
I tried going with something totally different with my sideboard, often times the opponent will try to stop me from utilizing my graveyard, or kill my Grave Pact Buy, etc. etc. I decided to transform the deck into black hand as a counter response, and try to just overwhelm the opponent... seems to be moderatly effective because most of them dont see it coming, anyway here it goes.
Will post on deck success and evolution, please help with sideboard.
