How it Works

They are women, hear them roar...and see them soar as graceful, powerful flying beatsticks!

Strategies
This Angel deck wins with basic creature beatdown, with many of the great older Angels (Akroma, Serra Angel, Blinding Angel, etc.) coming out to play. Urza's Incubator helps bring them out faster, and Story Circle prevents damage to me in case somebody plays a lot of creature-hate cards. I also include Swords to Plowshares and Wraths of God if the game goes horribly wrong for me. Lotus Bloom and Sensei's Divining Top are in there in case I don't draw enough mana or if I keep drawing mana and nothing else for turns.

Weaknesses
Wrath of God and Damnation screw this deck over pretty badly unless I have Story Circle out to protect me, and even then I have to keep mana untapped to prevent sources of damage. But this deck, while doing fairly well for itself in offense, also performs okay on defense if I'm facing a particularly damaging deck. Life loss, however, is a different story altogether... Sad

Deck History
Ahh, one of my iconic decks! LoveLoveLove I've always loved the Angel creature type ever since I got into M:TG, and this deck showcases my favorites of all the Angels I have collected so far. These Angels are graceful and powerful ladies; each Angel also represents a strong woman whom I know. For instance, my closest female friends are represented as Blinding Angel, Pristine Angel, and Serra Angel, while my mother is Silver Seraph and I am Exalted Angel. (I had to be the Life-Gain one...it just kinda fit my personality. :D) Haven't figured out who Akroma is yet...she just pwns. The deck has actually undergone fairly few revisions since I first acquired the cards and built the first version--mainly, the support cards have been changed around over the months and years, as my collection grew more eclectic and I networked with people who understood how to make such an expensive creature type viable in gameplay. (Getting 4 Urza's Incubators was the main thing--being able to play Akroma for 3 white mana is AMAZING. (8D) )
