What's a Sideboard?

How it Works

This deck is meant to focus on a one-time game mechanic: grandeur. The primary win condition is Baru, Fist of Krosa Buy and Paleoloth Buy. With both in play, no less than five lands and a second Baru in your hand, you get infinite 5/5 wurm tokens.
If that doesn't net a victory, the sheer power from actual wurms will hopefully be too much for your opponent to handle. As a last win condition, Where Ancients Tread Buy can net a win if you have the lands and available wurms. Also works with the primary win condition too, and can clear the board of anything without protection.

5/31/12
Went up against a Bant Exalted deck, won 2-1. First round kicked off BaruLoth Tread by turn 8, round two lost due to mana swell, round three won (narrowly) by stalling out with a 10/10 Wurm token (used for blocking), drawing a second Baru, Fist of Krosa Buy on the following turn and Grandeuring 100 Wurm tokens, and upon last turn (after blocking a mass attack) swung for lethal (my life=4, my opponent's life= 27, all before attacking).
Second match: Lost 0-2 to a {U}merfolk control deck. Without the Vexing Shusher Buy or Leyline of Lifeforce Buy, the deck wasn't able to withstand heavy countering.
