The Art of Legacy Burn

by Cody L Locy

In contrast the Red Burn Build that I run differs slightly.

18 LANDS
18 Mountains

11 CREATURES
3 Spark Elemental
4 Goblin Guide
4 Vexing Devil

31 INSTANTS and SORCERIES
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Chain Lightning
4 Lava Spike
4 Flame Rift
4 Magma Jet
4 Price of Progress
4 Rift Bolt
3 Fireblast

With this structure we see a very small build converted mana cost deck:
0-    4 Potential spells (Fireblast for soft caste)
1-    27 Potential spells (Rift Bolt if soft casted)
2-    12 Potential spells
3-    4 Potential spells (Rift Bolt if hard casted for original cost)

Similar variations however due to the builds of the decks my version is built more for an early game kill and requires me to actively caste spells every turn versus CJ Ramirez’s version can sustain into mid game matches without actively casting due to Grim Lavamancer and Sulfuric Vortex. These differences also affect the speeds at which each deck competes at.

I hope that this helps give a different look upon Red Burn for those who are interested in its continued expansion and use.
