Welcome to the "Create and Rate" Thread


Rules :

1. Rate the card posted above you, then create your own card. If there are multiple cards created in one post, you may rate all or just one of those cards.
2. Be respectful and be kind.
3. Be considerate and thoughtful in creating your cards, and in your ratings.
4. Try to create something new or different in some way; Try not to make something that is extremely similar to an existing card.
5. When rating a card, indicate what you are rating out of. If you say "5", and you are rating on a scale out of 5, say : "5/5", or "5 out of 5".


Suggestions :

1. I recommend you rate on a scale out of 10.
2. Try to put some reasoning into why you have rated a card the way you have.
3. Don't post for the sole purpose of rating another person's card.

Sorcery

Take an extra turn after this one.

Flashback {4}{U}{U}{B} (You may play this card from your graveyard for its flashback cost. Then remove it from the game.)

Time is infantesmal, and yet it is so precious.

Well i like your time warp juat note that it is already a card.

taking an extra turn is cool and powerfull but 5 and tripple color folowed by nine for a second use seems balanced. Just realize that it shares a name with an existing card.

I think the effect is a bit too good to be on a 1 mana creature, so I would ramp up the cost to {2}. The abilite to return an Arcbound Ravager Buy to your hand by saccing an Ornithopter Buy seems too good for a first turn drop.
Now mine:

Final Spurt {2}{R}{R}
Sorcery
Until end of turn, creatures you control get +2/+0 and gain haste. At end of turn, sacrifice all creatures you control.

The idea is for a Goblin Pyromancer Buy for all creatures you control.

They always said it was hyperactivity, but I had a hunch..

It's a bit hard to play, since to take full advantage of the Haste, you have to either play or create creatures. 4-CC for +2/+0 is good, though. And sacing all of your creatures can be avoided...

All in all, playability=8, Originality=8...

I like the mind doubling. A very nice idea actually. The first look over it, I thought 'overpowered'. Since it costs 5 essentially, its fair. A deck based around it could be killer, Happy. I give it an 8/10... missing 2 points because it isn't the most fun card.

Here is one of my favourite cards that I made :


Aether Flux {U}{U}{U}

Legendary Enchantment

{3}: Select three target permanents target player controls, and that player chooses and returns
one to his/her hand. You may not target aether flux with this ability. Any player may play this ability.

{1}: Both players return one permanent to their owner's hand, and this can only be played once per turn.
Any player may play this ability. (If aether flux is the only choice, this ability is countered).

If aether were everywhere... where would we be?

Well if they made a card like that, it would be pretty overpowered in standard unless they make more counters. Probably the best counter in standard is Hinder Buy and it is terrible compared to vintige counters. If they decide to make this, it would be {1}{U}{U}. Pretty good idea though...

Legendary Land

Add {1} to your mana pool.

{2}, Sacrifice a land - Nafinica, Guardian of the Plane becomes a 3/3 spirit creature with haste, first strike, trample and gains fading 3. (this effect does not end at the end of the turn).

{B}{B}{B}: This creature copies the ability of target creature. All Zombies have this ability.
{B}:Regenerate target Zombie.
{X}{B},:Return target Zombie with converted mana cost {X} from your graveyard to your hand.

I'll even be nice and rate the one above me, and NOT submit a new one...

Hmmm... That card has too many powerful abilities. 'BBB: This creature copies the ability of target creature. All Zombies have this ability.' I would reword this as follows: 'All zombies gain "BBB: This creature copies one ability of target creature"'. Otherwise, just run an Indestructible in your Zombie deck. 1 B to regen is kinda good, too. I would up that to 1B. The last one is good, since it goes to the hand and not to play. But you forgot the P/T...

Overall, 6 on playability, 8 on originality...
I'm too lazy to have a signature...

Pacifist is an original mechanic.You're making enchantments that cab be destroyed by damage or creature removal.

The card itself is good though.Maybe a little too strong.Having a continuous flow of lands(plus some lands you may draw yourself).Just imagine having more than one in play...Needs playtesting to make sure it's not broken,otherwise a good card.


Beacon of Hatred {2}{R}{R}{B}
Enchantment

At the beginning of your upkeep you may sacrifice a creature.If you do,that creature deals 3 damage to target creature or player.

Whenever a creature you control goes into the graveyard,you may have Beacon of Hatred deal 2 damage to target creature or player.

Way to good, even with a dual color cost. The fact that it will always be a 6/5 when attacking or blocking is a good effect anyway, but the way it would be easily possible to give it 20+ power with Trample is too good (think Beacon of Creation Buy, Rude Awakening Buy etc.)
