Another fun synergy that goes in my Edh deck is Gelectrode Buy + Elder Mastery Buy + Random instances = : deals 1 damage to target player, that player discards two cards. Whenever you play an instant or sorcery untap gelectrode and do it again.. Also creates a lock when ur opponent is on top deck mode.

Someone double check my math here, but I believe you would end up with a total of 28 golems. You would clone each of the tokens 5 times, giving you a total of 10 cloned tokens (12 total tokens if you count the originals). You would also clone the Precursor 5 times (5 Precursor tokens), which would net you 10 more 3/3 Golem tokens. You would end up with 6 Precursor Golem Buy and 22 3/3 Golem tokens. Throw in Chandra, the Firebrand Buy and you end up with 12 Precursor Golem Buy and 68 3/3 Golem Tokens, but that would just be silly.

As far as I know, the Precursor Golem Buy TOKENS don't allow me to copy the rite of replication again... Though after reading your 'math' I'm not too sure about my 'math' anymore. ----------------------------------------------------------- Favorite card: Eater of the Dead Buy Post your synergies here The Synergy Page Promote the Synergy section! You arent copying the Rite again, but when the Precursor Golem Buy Tokens come in, they will each also bring in 2 3/3 Golem Tokens. However, I messed up seriously on my Chandra example, as Chandra's -2 ability wouldnt trigger the Precursor Golem Buy ability. Fork Buy-like spells would, but her ability doesnt.

Fork Buy wouldn't trigger Precursor Golem Buy's ability either because the copy it creates is not cast. You're correct that you'd have 6 Precursor Golem Buys and 22 golem tokens, but if you Fork Buy Rite of Replication Buy and target Precursor Golem, you'll just get another 5 Precursor Golem Buys and thus 10 more golem tokens, for a total of 11 precursor golems and 32 golem tokens. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Magic Rules Advisor AIM: clanlsg 2010 eMmies: Nicest Member 2009 eMmies: Most Likely to be Mod 2008 eMmies: Nicest Member, Best Sig, Funniest Member, Most Likely to be Mod <(-'.'-)> Q(-'.'-Q) <(-'.'-<) (>-'.'-)> O==(-.-Q) t(-'.'-t)

If you kicked Rite of Replication Buy and targeted Precursor Golem Buy with it wouldn't it copy each other golem token on the battlefield with each new copy also being a kicked version of the original spell? Also: Grimoire of the Dead Buy + Iname, Death Aspect Buy = Search your library for every black spirit in your library, then when you've got 3 counters on Grimoire sacrifice that beeitch and put all them black creatures onto the battlefield (Ways to abuse this??? how's about 4 Kokusho, the Evening Star Buy bam! 20 life lost for you, 20 life gained for me.) Hell throw in Crypt of Agadeem Buy to gain TONS of black mana. Mindshrieker Buy + Haunted Crossroads Buy = put a fatty from your grave ontop your library then feed it to Mindshrieker.

Yes. That's why if: X = # of vanilla golem tokens in play Y = # of Precursor Golem Buy in play Total extra you will get with one kicked Rite of Replication Buy if you target a Precursor Golem Buy: New vanillas X2 = 5 * [ X * Y + ((Y-1)*Y + 1) * 2 ] New Precursor Golem Buy tokens Y2 = 5 * [ (Y-1)*Y + 1 ] So with X = 2, Y = 1, you get a total of X2 = 20 extra vanilla golem tokens and 5 extra Precursor Golem Buy tokens. With X = 4 and Y = 2, you'd get a total of X2 = 70 vanilla tokens and Y2 = 15 Precursor Golem Buy tokens. The math will different when you instead target a vanilla token. It will likely work out in your favor to target a vanilla if you have more than one Precursor Golem Buy already out: New vanillas X2 = 5 * [ (X-1) * Y + 1 + Y * Y * 2 ] New Precursor Golem Buy tokens Y2 = 5 * [ Y * Y ] So with X = 2, Y = 1, you'd get a total of X2 = 15 extra vanilla golem tokens and 5 extra Precursor Golem Buy (fewer than before). But if you had X = 4 and Y = 2, you'd get a total of X2 = 75 vanilla golems and Y2 = 20 Precursor Golem Buy tokens (more than before). Of course, at that point it scarcely matters which one you target. But now if you're playing this deck you have the exact math to know how many of which token you have. --- "I have returned."
