I cast Living Death Buy. I have a Urabrask the Hidden Buy in the Graveyard. The question is do the opponent's creatures enter the battlefield tapped? What about other creatures with enters the battlefield triggers... with both players placing them into play at the same time, do the abilities trigger APNAP order? ~The Original PRJ since1990~

Creatures entering the battlefield at the same time "see eachother enter the battlefield", this means that the creatures that enter the battlefield at the same time as urabrask will see an urabrask that wants them to enter tapped, thus they do so. ----------------------------------------------------------- Favorite card: Eater of the Dead Buy Post your synergies here The Synergy Page Promote the Synergy section! No, your opponent's creatures do not enter the battlefield tapped. Urabrask the Hidden Buy's second ability creates a replacement effect which modifies the way in which creatures enter the battlefield. Thus, it applies before the creature is actually on the battlefield. Since Urabrask the Hidden Buy is entering the battlefield at the same time as your opponent's creatures, it isn't actually on the battlefield soon enough to affect the way the creatures enter the battlefield. 614.12. Some replacement effects modify how a permanent enters the battlefield. (See rules 614.1c–d.) Such effects may come from the permanent itself if they affect only that permanent (as opposed to a general subset of permanents that includes it). They may also come from other sources. To determine which replacement effects apply and how they apply, check the characteristics of the permanent as it would exist on the battlefield, taking into account replacement effects that have already modified how it enters the battlefield, continuous effects generated by the resolution of spells or abilities that changed the permanent’s characteristics on the stack (see rule 400.7a), and continuous effects from the permanent’s own static abilities, but ignoring continuous effects from any other source that would affect it. Example: Orb of Dreams is an artifact that says “Permanents enter the battlefield tapped.” It won’t affect itself, so Orb of Dreams enters the battlefield untapped. As for the triggered abilities, you are correct. They will be placed on the stack in APNAP order. (Nitpick: Technically, they trigger simultaneously. Triggering and being placed on the stack are two separate events.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Magic Rules Advisor AIM: clanlsg 2010 eMmies: Nicest Member 2009 eMmies: Most Likely to be Mod 2008 eMmies: Nicest Member, Best Sig, Funniest Member, Most Likely to be Mod <(-'.'-)> Q(-'.'-Q) <(-'.'-<) (>-'.'-)> O==(-.-Q) t(-'.'-t)

That is actually quite strange, a level 2 judge ruled this was how this was to be played out, however it was only 1 other creature and an urabrask that came into play at the same time, though that shouldn't really matter when it comes to this example? However after taking a look at the comp rules you posted this doesn't seem to be correct AT ALL I'll leave my comment up as a way to see how this 'could be interprited' but shouldn't... I'm going to refer to this later though, thanks for correcting me. Edit: Way to go nitpicking your own comment cal ;D ----------------------------------------------------------- Favorite card: Eater of the Dead Buy Post your synergies here The Synergy Page Promote the Synergy section!
