	The Gurus approved the following combo. http://www.essentialmagic.com/Combos/CommentsAndRatings.asp?ID=55817 When I see the comments to this combo, it seems that I'm not the only one confused about it. After reading the rules on cumulative upkeep, I still don't have the answer. From my understanding: you still have to pay the cumulative upkeep of Glacial Chasm Buy; Soul Echo Buy won't prevent your life total to go down. At a certain moment you will have only few life left. Since the gurus approved this combo, I see only one option remaining: It is allowed to pay life, even if this results in a negative amount of life. Soul Echo Buy prevents you from dying as a result of a state-based check. It seems highly unlikely to me, since I've never heard about it. I can't find an answer in the additional rules of Soul Echo Buy either (http://gatherer.wizards.com/pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=3515). What is the rule that explains the validation of this combo?

	The combo doesn't work. I have invalidated it. Guru-approved combos haven't necessarily been looked at and approved by a guru. This label was added automatically to all combos in the database that weren't marked as invalid back when the combo page was changed. There are currently guru-approved combos in the database that don't work because no one caught them, the rules changed, or other reasons. For future reference, if you see a combo that doesn't work but it hasn't been invalidated, use the "report this combo as invalid" button.
