I'm honestly not trying to be a jackass, but when you said "Classical Studies," it reminded of this famous OWS pic:

I've been told our generation is the first where the majority of college graduates are working blue collar jobs. I am one of those graduates.

Nope, that's rather fitting Happy Job searching tells me that I should have done a Business degree of some description rather than arts, but hey, love > money.

-@Zippo - aye, and it is only going to get worse.

Congrats GM!

I just picked up a BS in Computer Science. Looking for a job now, hopefully we can both find something.

Both of you in CS are probably less screwed than GM and I. I have a BS in astronomy. I can run shows at planetariums... there's like 10 of those in the country.

I'm saving up for an bachelor's of astronomy right now in hope that I'll get a master's and PhD later in life in the topic. I knew the job market was nearly non-existent with a bachelor's so I never got into it. I don't particularly wanna do anything with it though...it's just my first love and I'm a believer of the whole "lifelong" education thing.

On a side note, I'm going to Cherry Springs in a few weeks to stargaze. I'm really excited as I've never seen the milky way with the naked eye before.

I'm pretty happy with my degree in Property Management and Real Estate Development; I'm getting a few good job offers - in other states like Washington, Califorina and New York. I just don't feel like moving away from my friends.

Do it. The best job offers are nearly never where you reside, and you'll make new friends. It can hurt, but ya gotta take risks and push your comfort level to be successful.

You mean in PA? I've heard great things about that place, but I've never been. I'm spending the next few weeks in Lewisburg.

this is why when i ran out of money to pay for college [thanks medical bills], instead of saddle myself with debt and maybe never get a job [geography pays off if you CAN get a job], i took time off acted like a teenager again and followed a few different dreams. its going well except the life of a broke ass musician ain't easy...
