23 people hate me. I still <3 you though ![]() Maybe my thread just lacks depth or belongs in the general magic discussion area. Or maybe its too soon since next set has been spoiled at all except 1 card. You tell me?

Not going broke is usually a good idea. It actually amazes me how many people I meet who spend all their money on cards. I'll meet someone at an FNM and ask if they want hit up a bar afterwards or hang out another time and they tell me that they have no gas money, food money, or whatever. Dude, you just spent like $50 dollars on two sealed tournaments in a row and you can't afford food?! It's like MTG is their life and they scrape by everything else. Priorities people, but to each their own I guess.

Play again if you want to. I'm pretty much all casual now. It's still fun to play from time to time, but I'm not interested in investing the time and money back into being competitive. I think I'd also feel old playing with some of the kids at tournaments and FNM. If I were to buy some of the new cards, it'd be for a casual draft or curiosity. ![]() Sig created by: Mononoke86.

Saw the spoiler today, almost jizzed my pants. Considering buying a box, which I NEVER did. Judge's familiar and Dryad Militant are just so sweet. Jace is really, really bad though in my opinion, does anyone see any potential in him?

I see a lot of potential in him, people didn't consider the original Jace to be that strong, until they started playing him. And tacking on a lossless FoF (once Innistrad rotates out and Flashback goes away) is good. Its +1 is pretty good as a psedu-fog/damage reduction and can nuke weenie decks nicely. Is ultimate, is useless outside of EDH and casual multiplayer however.

Return to Ravnica is exceeding my expectations. So many good cards! New Jace 4.0: Although I think he will be much weaker than baby and 2.0, people will use him for sure in certain decks and he will certainly do his job. Desecration Demon: Can't wait to play this guy, so so so agressive. Guttersnipe: Sweet uncommon, very good limited card and fits very well in Izzet decks. I will certainly try a build in which he is more or less important. Abrupt Decay: Supersmother Azorius Charm: Underrated card, a lot of potential but not as good as Naya Charm Buy Dreadbore: Super(sorcery speed)terminate Goblin Electromancer: Sweet, sweet card that could be very useful if some Kiln Fiend Buy (Guttersnipe? )type deck appears.Isperia, Supreme Judge: I think it could have the same impact Consecrated Sphinx Buy had. Of course, the Sphinx is much better, but was very underrated as it came out and Isperia could find a place as a solid finisher in UW control. Corpsejack Menace: A bit fragile, but still brutal in the right deck. Loleth Troll: In BG aggro, best 2 drop available (yet). And BG aggro is gonna be sweeeet. Loxodon Smiter: Such an effective creature, 4/4 for 3 with 2 relevant abilities in 2 different matchups (even though the only discard in top tier decks right now is Liliana...) Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius: I liked the old one better, but c'mon, its NIV MIZZET! Slaughter Games: Good sideboard cards in many matchups Vraska the Unseen: Such a cool pw, much better than Jace in my opinion even though it costs 1 more, which, for a planeswalker, is very significative. Judge's familiar: 2 color flying non-merfolk Cursecatcher. Dryad Militant: Sick sb card, so much value! Chromatic Lantern: Might make Nicol Bolas playable (not sure thought) SHOCKLANDS C'mon whats not to love about this set? What do you guys think?

Let me add to your list: Slitherhead: To overpower LOLTroll even more. Auger Spree: finisher and removal, all in one. Corpsejack Menace: 4/4 in BG for 4, that also ups the power of LOLTroll Grisly Salvage: finding stuff to Scavange, and flashback, all in one. Korozda Guildmage : lets get some stuff into the yard to scavange away; or intimidate is fine too. Oh, and tokens Dreg Mangler: a 3/3 BG haste with no drawback for 1BG. And has scavange for the LOLtroll to be buffed some more.
