I created a combo not too long ago but when I search for combos with the cards it doesn't show up. I'm aware it that it says not evaluated by a guru yet. However if new combos are not getting approved then what is the point? I'd be happy to volunteer to approve combos.

New combos do eventually get approved, just not always super-quickly after they get posted. They're not exactly flying in, and I'm liable to skip over combos that get submitted before the associated sets are added to the database (because I can easily pull up all unrated combos). As far as I can tell, I'm the only one keeping up with the list (which is okay with the current flow), but sometimes it gets de-prioritized for a bit until I come back and catch back up. I assure you, the thirty-ish combos I just went through pales to the volume there was a few years ago when it was truly neglected. We still get over 500K monthly views and searches as well are still popular. Due to the site being so old (ie unattractive) especially when compared to more modern web development it does lack in user engagement. I know it's slow moving but there are still plans and hopes to rebuild the site only retaining it's database and scraping all code. So yes still active, though the community and engagement is just not like it was in the heyday... I personally hope to change that soon.
