Any of you guys play this? I've only recently come across it. Most of the guys I play card/board games with have families to take care of now. So the money they had to put into MTG isn't in the works anymore. Dominion ended up being a good alternative. Anyone else check this game out? Any other games like this I should look into adding to my collection?

Which is why you play vintage/legacy so you don't have to buy as many new cards. :p ![]()

I haven't played dominion but I like the deck building games, Ascension and Resident Evil. ___________________________________________________

Ummm.... No. :P I have heard good things about Resident Evil. Longer games then Dominion, but good none the less.

I've played a few times with friends and I like it. It's about mid-level in my list of games. eMmies 2010: Best Mod eMmies 2009: Nicest Member, Best Mod, Most Informative Member eMmies 2008: Most Likely to be Assassinated for Political Reasons eMmies 2006: Best Mod, Most Politically Active eMmies 2005: Nicest Member, Most Politically Active eMmies 2003: Best Newbie

I play Magic pretty sparingly now, but so do my friends. We have casual matches when we feel like it, which works well when you already have a nice collection of cards and decks. I have about 14 or so decks still together, some of which are casual piles and some are old Type II decks. I play maybe every other month, so I don't ever get bored of them. I say put a cube together if you still want some variety but don't want to spend any money. It's not hard to pull together enough cards from your collection and then you can use the cube to hold drafts. Playing a pauper format could be fun too if you get enough people involved. ![]() Sig created by: Mononoke86.

dominion was fun at first. Only a few strategies can really win so my group stopped playing once we figured them out. If you want more check out Ticket to Ride. And if you havent already, settlers of catan. ![]()

I love alternative board/card games. I have been playing Star Trek Expeditions recently. Good fun since you can play solo or co-op. ![]() ![]()

Hey Mono, hope all is well. We played Knights of Catan (something like that) last Wednesday. It was fun. I'm sure we'll play again. This Wednesday we're playing Last Night on Earth.

Semi, did both of us magically return to eM at the same time? Dude, you must be 30 by now! Another good one is 7 Wonders. It's more of a card type game. You pass stacks of cards around ala a Magic draft. Everyone takes their turn at the same time. It's a nice change of pace from some brutally long Catan games. ![]()

I'm not back. I'm just passing thru. And yea, I'm 32 now. Remember how I used to drink all the time? Not so much anymore. Thunderstone is on the docket for this Wednesday.
