What happened to Sorin Markov?

It seems like the next "Duel of the Planeswalkers" Decks would feature Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded versus Tamiyo, the Moon Sage. I'm also thinking of Sorin Markov Buy versus Gideon Jura Buy as another feature. Meanwhile, I would like to know what happened to Sorin, Lord of Innistrad Buy when he came home. It was mentioned in the Dark Ascension trailer video that his purpose of returning to Innistrad is to find Avacyn. Yet in the Story of Liliana on Innistrad, it was stated that she was the "reason" of Avacyn's release from the Helvault Buy. What happened to Sorin Markov Buy then? Does that mean he wasn't successful in his mission of coming back home? Or worse yet, was his return significant to Innistrad's fate after all?

You don't see Sorin Markov actively playing a role in the Innistrad storyline, that maybe due to Liliana and Garruk's duel on Innistrad. Sorin may have foreseen that Liliana is the one destined to destroy the Helvault or Sorin Himself is afraid to touch the Helvault because of its Moonsilver properties. And with Innistrad's storyline, Since Sorin was the creator of the plane of Innistrad and Avacyn He alone knows the fate of Innistrad with or without his direct action. In short he is the god of Innistrad.

Sorin didn't create Innistrad, he's from that plane. The only thing he created was Avacyn.

If Sorin Markov did not create Innistrad, then maybe his ancestors did. The Markov family must have created the world of Innistrad, because they treat the Humans there as their food/cattle. If the Markov family did not create Innistrad then who did? And there will be lots of loopholes in the story line. 1. If Sorin created Avacyn the Angel, then who created Griselbrand the Demon? 2. Who created all those vampires? Where did they all came from? 3. How can a Human Vampire create an Angel? or is Avacyn just an Idea?

1. No one created Griselbrand, he was a demon native to Innistrad. 2. The Markov's were a human family on Innistrad. Sorin's grandfather, Edgar (who was an alchemist), made a deal with the demon Shilgengar and learned sangromancy. He created a ritual which turned people into vampires. When Sorin was transformed, his spark ignited and he became a planeswalker. After that, vampirism spread throughout the plane just like in almost every other vampire story that has ever existed (except Twilight). 3. Planeswalkers can create/summon creatures and powerful planeswalkers can create planes. Urza created Karn, who later was given Urza's powerstones by Gerrard, becoming the only artificial planeswalker. Karn then created the plane of Argentum, and later Memnarch, who became infected with Phyrexian oil and turned Argentum into Mirrodin. Sorin created Avacyn to maintain balance by protecting the humans of Innistrad from being wiped out by the vampires, who were growing in population exponentially. He was dubbed a traitor by his own people because of this.
